The Globe GSO12 open-body manual slicer can cut foods as large as 5.5 inches long, 11 inches wide, and 8 inches in diameter. Catering to different needs, the slicer’s maximum slice thickness is 1¹⁄₁₆ inches. Its 12-inch carbon steel knife is durable enough to endure impact from thick foods, and when it becomes dull, it can be filed with the sharpener, which is mounted on top of the slicer. Users can easily load and unload ingredients on the unit without it tilting; it has a heavy front-mounted end weight to balance the machine.

Using a 0.4-horsepower motor, the Globe GSO12 manual slicer features a belt-driven design, and it’s equipped with nonslip rubber feet to prevent sliding if bumped. If it turns off from a power outage, it won’t randomly power on as it has a no-volt-release mechanism. Designed to fit on a countertop, the anodized aluminum unit sports an open-style body that’s 22.5 inches wide by 27 inches deep by 20.5 inches high. Users can easily clean underneath the knife due to its large clearance, and its table can be adjusted for sanitation.
