The True STG1F-1G-HC one-section reach-in freezer includes three wire shelves that are PVC coated to provide corrosion resistance and durability. To support high-volume use and prevent rusting, the unit is made of aluminum and stainless steel. Foamed-in-place insulation traps cold air, and an LED interior light shines on the stored items to ensure visibility.

This freezer has a triple-pane glass window in the door so employees can see stored items without letting cold air out. Its door is left hinged and has a durable metal handle on the right side. If it is accidentally left open, the door self-closes to prevent cold air from escaping, and it remains open past 120 degrees for cabinet cleaning or product loading. Its magnetic gaskets can be removed without tools and seal the door to the frame to hold in cold air. A door lock protects stored items from potential tampering and theft.

With R290 hydrocarbon refrigerant, the temperature in the True STG1F-1G-HC one-section reach-in freezer stays at -10 degrees Fahrenheit, though because the temperature is so cold, condensation can freeze on the evaporator and turn to frost. To prevent this from causing system issues, the unit automatically runs a defrost cycle on a timer that stops when the freezer senses the evaporator temperature is safe. Ending the defrost cycle with temperature sensing instead of a timer saves on operation costs. The condenser fan motor in this unit reverses upon start up for 20 seconds, blowing dust and dirt off the coil. Keeping the coil clean ensures the system is running efficiently without using a lot of energy. It also maintains consistent temperature levels and prolongs the life of the refrigeration system. Even though this self-cleaning feature offers system benefits, it doesn’t replace routine preventative maintenance procedures. Mounted on top of the freezer, the refrigeration system will not suck in debris from the floor, however it is more difficult to reach for servicing.
