This unit requires a remote condenser to operate, which can be purchased separately, and it must be connected to an ice bin or dispenser for operation. The machine can produce 907 pounds of ice every 24 hours if the ambient temperature is 70 degrees Fahrenheit and the incoming water is 50 degrees Fahrenheit.

The Hoshizaki F-1002MRJZ flake ice machine head is designed to produce flake ice, which can be packed around food to keep it cool.
