It requires a remote condenser to operate which does not come with the unit and must be purchased separately, and this head must be attached to a bin or dispenser for proper use.

The Hoshizaki F-1501MIRJZ-C cubelet ice machine produces cubelet nugget-style ice using a remote air-cooled system and R-404A refrigerant. This machine can produce 1,533 pounds of ice in a 24-hour period as long as the ambient temperature is 70 degrees Fahrenheit and incoming water temperature is 50 degrees Fahrenheit. The internal components are made for cleanliness with a 2-second flush every hour to clear sediment and an antimicrobial agent to prevent mold growth.
