Hoshizaki   22″ Nugget Ice Machine Head – 412 lb/24 hr, Air Cooled, 115v

In a 24-hour period, the Hoshizaki F-450MAJ-C ice machine head can produce 412 pounds of ice if ambient air is 70 degrees Fahrenheit and incoming water is 50 degrees Fahrenheit. It makes cubelet ice—also referred to as nugget ice—which works well in most restaurants since it is a customer favorite. The condenser motor in this unit is air cooled, using fans to cool the components so water can get cold enough to freeze.

Every hour, the unit runs a 2-second flush cycle to remove sediment from the ice and ensure it is clean. A sensor just below the Hoshizaki F-450MAJ-C commercial ice maker measures ice in the bin—which is sold separately—with an infrared beam, ensuring there is always ice available without overflow. The components in this unit are accessible behind a panel for cleaning and servicing, while the air filter can be removed and cleaned thoroughly to prevent issues from arising.
