It produces crescent cube ice, which has a high ice-to-water ratio that blends well into smoothies and quickly cools glasses of soda and water. To ensure ice has a fresh flavor, the ice maker is equipped with H-Guard Plus&Reg; antimicrobial protection that prevents mildew growth.

Because the Hoshizaki KM-901MWJ ice maker has a self-contained condenser, it takes less labor to install than remote versions. Its condenser is water cooled, so it’s more energy efficient than an air-cooled model in establishments that already have a water-circulating chiller system. The unit uses R404A refrigerant, and its exterior is made of strong stainless steel.
