Generating as much as 851 pounds daily, the Hoshizaki KMS-822MLJ Serenity ice maker head can produce more ice in ideal conditions with lower ambient air and incoming water temperatures. It makes crescent cubes, which are uniquely shaped versions of half-cube ice with rounded backs. Such cubes can be used in many applications, from soft drinks and blended frozen drinks to bagged and dispensed ice. The ice machine cools remotely, so it requires a separately sold condensing unit to operate. This condenser is installed elsewhere to keep heat and noise away from the ice machine head.

This Hoshizaki KMS-822MLJ ice machine head has a CycleSaver™ feature to produce as much ice as standard models in fewer cycles; this minimizes energy use and extends component life. The system monitors itself and beeps to alert the operator of the issue’s diagnosis. To protect against fast bacterial growth, the ice maker is made with an antimicrobial agent. Made of stainless steel, the evaporator and exterior support heavy use and expedite cleaning.
