To optimize interior storage without limiting air circulation, the True STG2R-2S-HC reach-in refrigerator’s condenser is located at the top of the unit. It features a system of self-contained capillary tubes that ensure even temperature distribution; this system uses R290 hydrocarbon refrigerant. Electronically commutated evaporator and condenser fans move air at high velocities to maximize air circulation while reducing energy fluctuations. For moisture protection, the evaporator coil is housed away from the food zone and coated with corrosion-resistant epoxy. This refrigeration system generates and maintains temperatures between 33 and 38 degrees Fahrenheit—great for chilling meat, dairy, desserts, and produce. Staff can set these temperatures to readout in Fahrenheit or Celsius using the digital thermostat.

This reach-in refrigerator is designed with two right-hinged, self-closing doors attached via four external cam-lift hinges. Solid metal ergonomic door handles offer a simple route for entry, and for extended interior access, the doors feature an automatic door prop feature when opened to 120 degrees. To minimize temperature leaks, the perimeter of the doors are lined with one-piece magnetic door gaskets that are simple to remove for cleaning. So the product can be stored safely after hours, the unit is equipped with bolt-style door locks that can be engaged to minimize the risk of tampering or thievery.

For accommodating storage at high volumes, the True STG2R-2S-HC refrigerator measures 52⁵/₈ inches wide by 35¹⁄₄ inches deep by 83⁷⁄₈ inches high and features two independent sections. To withstand rigorous use in busy kitchens, the exterior sides, interior walls, and back are made of corrosion-resistant aluminum, and the doors, ceiling, and floor are constructed of heavy-duty stainless steel. Foamed-in-place Ecomate polyurethane insulates the doors and cabinet for enhanced chill retention. This unit includes six wire shelves total, or three shelves per section; these shelves are finished with PVC coating to establish moisture and corrosion resistance. The interior of the refrigerator is equipped with LED lighting to highlight the stored contents and enhance visibility. Staff can relocate the unit for cleaning and maintenance by unlocking the brakes on two of the four bottom-mounted plate castors.
