Providing it with durability, the True STR1RPT-1S-1S-HC Spec Series® pass-thru refrigerator has a stainless steel construction that offers rust and dent resistance. Polyurethane foam in the walls adds structure and provides a dense barrier against outside heat. Around the doors, magnetic gaskets create a strong seal and reduce gaps where heat could enter the cabinet. The door handles are sturdy and made of metal.

The True STR1RPT-1S-1S-HC pass-thru refrigerator is equipped with stainless steel front and rear doors. Although these doors do not provide cabinet visibility, they offer better insulation than glass doors. Each one closes on its own to prevent large amounts of cold air from flowing out. When loading large or heavy goods into the refrigerator, the doors can be pulled open 120 degrees to prevent them from closing. This stay-open design frees up a hand so staff can work comfortably. For visibility in the interior, LED lighting shines on the shelves, and bolt locks on the doors protect contents from theft.

Inside the refrigerator, the temperature can be set anywhere within a range of 33 to 38 degrees Fahrenheit. These temperatures are achieved by the top-mounted refrigeration system, which uses capillary tubes and R290 hydrocarbon refrigerant. These tubes regulate refrigerant flow while the condenser and evaporator fans circulate cold air, keeping airflow consistent and saving energy. To keep users informed, the temperature is displayed on the outside of the unit. This display is digital to increase its readability and works in Celsius or Fahrenheit.

The condensing fan motor blows in a reverse direction after the unit is turned on to help reduce buildup of dirt and dust on the condensing coil. With a cleaner surface, the coil can operate more efficiently without using as much energy. Despite this technology’s effectiveness, it shouldn’t replace general maintenance of the coil.
