The True STR1RPT-2HG-1S-HC Spec Series® pass-thru refrigerator’s interior temperature can be set between 33 and 38 degrees Fahrenheit. Cold temperatures are maintained by R290 hydrocarbon refrigerant running through capillary tubes. The unit’s evaporator and condenser fans push a consistent amount of air, reducing the amount of heat produced and energy used. Since the system is on top of the unit, it does not clog with debris and dust from the floor or take up as much interior space as bottom-mounted units. This refrigeration system has electronic controls and an external temperature display.

To help improve condensing coil operation, the compressor’s fan motor reverses for 20 seconds when the compressor is turned on. By blowing air in an opposite direction, coil debris buildup is eliminated. A clean coil uses less energy and helps keep product cool. Users should continue to use preventative maintenance practices to ensure the unit is working properly over time.

Cold air is kept in the True STR1RPT-2HG-1S-HC pass-thru refrigerator by dense polyurethane insulation and magnetic door gaskets. Air circulates through the interior, flowing around products and through the wire shelves. LED lights keep products visible, and bolt locks prevent theft. The rear stainless steel door is full-size, while the two doors on the front are half-size and let out less cold air than full doors. Their double-pane, thermal-insulated glass design enables staff members to find what they need before opening the doors. When released, the doors shut by themselves, but if they are opened past 120 degrees, they remain open for loading and unloading. Castors provide mobility so that the refrigerator can be moved for cleanup or relocation.
