Because the True STR2R-2G-HC reach-in refrigerator’s refrigeration system is top mounted, it opens up storage space inside the unit; its self-contained capillary tube system uses eco-friendly R-290 hydrocarbon refrigerant to maintain temperatures between 33 and 38 degrees Fahrenheit. A front-mounted digital temperature display provides an accurate readout of interior temperatures so operators can ensure contents are stored in a safe environment. The electronically commutated (EC) condenser and evaporator fan motors move a more consistent volume of air, producing less heat and using less energy. When the compressor is turned on, the condensing fan motor directs air in an opposite direction to remove debris off the condensing coil, helping reduce the risk of inefficient operation to keep product cooler and elongate lifespan. Although the motor is effective, it should not replace general preventative maintenance. For additional efficiency, the evaporator is coated with corrosion-resistant epoxy.

The True STR2R-2G-HC two-section refrigerator’s two thermal double-pane glass doors and LED interior lights allow for full visibility of products without opening the door. While the doors are self-closing, they remain in an open position when pushed past 120 degrees to ease loading and unloading. To minimize cold air leaks, the doors are built with removable magnetic door gaskets; high-density, polyurethane insulation is foamed in place throughout the cabinets to retain generated temperatures in warm settings. This 52⁵⁄₈-inch-wide by 35¹⁄₄-inch-deep by 83⁷⁄₈-inch-tall unit’s interior and exterior are made of durable, corrosion-resistant stainless steel to simplify cleaning while withstanding high-volume use. For smooth mobility, it’s fitted with 5-inch-diameter castors that lock at the front to keep the unit stable during use. To best accommodate specific establishment needs, operators can choose from one of the four shelving kits when purchasing this unit.
